EDSR maintains the highest standards of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment


Safety is our top priority in every phase of project delivery. EDSR maintains one of the industry's lowest safety incident frequency rates, and this year achieved the Gold Award for Occupational Safety from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

EDSR is also one of the few contractors in the sector fully accredited to ISO9001; ISO14001 and OHSAS18001, which demonstrates our commitment and expertise in Quality, Health, Safety and Environment.


ISO 9001

ISO 9001:2000 Quality Assurance

EDSR operate a Quality Management System accredited to the ISO9001:2000 standard, and externally verified by NQA Global Assurance. This gives the client confidence that the design, planning and implementation of projects is performed to standard operating procedures, and full traceability is provided for all materials, workmanship and validation carried out for the contract.

ISO 14001

ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System

As a core element of its business, the EDSR Environmental Management System is accredited under the ISO14001 standard, as being not only compliant with all UK environmental legislation, but also demonstrating continual improvement in the areas of recycling and sustainability. All waste pathways are fully documented, and emissions monitored, to give the client absolute assurance that the project is sustainable and environmentally responsible.

OHSAS 18001:1999 Health and Safety Management System

This external accreditation, assessed and audited by NQA Global Assurance, verifies EDSR's commitment to proactive health and safety management, and demonstrates continual improvement in terms of occupational health and safety for its employees, as well as protection of the public.

EDSR is an active member of this leading and influential lobby group, which represents the interests of environmental contractors and technologists at a professional and government level.

ROSPAROSPA

Member of RoSPA: The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents

By providing information, advice, resources and training, RoSPA is actively involved in the promotion of safety and the prevention of accidents in all areas of life - at work, in the home, and on the roads, in schools, at leisure and on or near water.
